6YRS OF DESIGN IN 300 WORDS
Meet Niharthi
Designer, Researcher, and a Product Strategist
ABOUT
Seattle-based designer with roots in Industrial Design (BS ’23) and an MS in Human-Centered Design & Engineering (UW ’25). I turn complex requirements into simple systems people can actually use, balancing craft, constraints, and real-world behavior. Fueled by coffee and brown-noise in the background.
“How do I make the product more intuitive?”
QUOTE
Good design is obvious,
Great design is transparent
I often come back to Joe Sparano’s idea that great design is transparent. That is the standard I hold myself to: reduce friction, make intent unmistakable, and let the work take center stage.
PRINCIPLES
Clarity
Intentionality
Trustworthiness
I design for transparency: work that supports people without demanding attention. I aim to make every decision clear in what it communicates, intentional in why it exists, and trustworthy in how it holds up over time. When those three align, the experience feels natural and the design quietly does its job.
OUTSIDE OF DESIGN
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me reading history, writing thought pieces, or making music.
